General Membership Meeting Minutes
Tuesday April 15, 2025
Officers Present: President Sean Moore; Secretary/Treasurer Mike Redmond; Executive Board Members Seymour Ludwig. Quorum Not Met for Executive Board Meeting.
Meeting Called to Order: President Sean Moore called the General Membership meeting to order a 7:04pm and led us in the Pledge to the Flag.
Approval of the March Meeting Minutes: Secretary Mike Redmond: A motion to wave the reading and approve the March Meeting Minutes was made by Seymour Ludwig and seconded by Preston Reese. Motion Carried.
Treasurer Report: Treasurer Mike Redmond reported that we have a total of $20,641.97 in the bank account. We have $11,596.48 in the Checking Account and $9,045.49 in the Scholarship Account. Our Fish Fry total sales were $10,576.00 with expenses of $5,680.00 leaving a profit of $4,896.00. A motion to accept the Treasurer Report was made by Seymour Ludwig and seconded by Dana Russell. Motion Carried.
Secretary of State Filing: Secretary Mike Redmond has registered our Logo with the Ohio Secretary of State Trademark and Service Mark Registration. Our original filing expired in 2023 after notification of renewal was never answered as it went to the old Post Office Box we no longer used.
Membership Report: Secretary Mike Redmond reported that we have a total of 122 Members with 6 new and 48 total new. We still have 20 Members from 2024 who have not renewed their Membership yet. President Sean Moore then reviewed the 6 new applications with the membership. A motion to accept the new members was made by Dana Russell and seconded by Seymour Ludwig. Members Approved.
Lenten Fish Frys: President Sean Moore reported that we had a very successful Fish Fry. We sold 593 Adult Meals and 40 Kids meals over the six Fridays. We had a good turnout from our Membership who came down to help prep on Thursdays and Server on Fridays.
Clann na nGael Report: President Sean Moore reported that the Clann na nGael Banquet is scheduled for Feb 7, 2026, same location as this year. Upcoming Events: DOE Easter Egg Hunt 4/19; AOH Road Bowling 4/26; Shamrock Club Installation Banquet 4/26; DOE Golf Outing 7/12; Shamrock Club Music Festival 7/12; Shamrock Club Golf Outing 7/25
Golf Outing: Tom Hart was not present, but President Sean Moore reported that we are scheduled for Thursday June 26th at Champions. More information to follow.
Scholarships: Seymour Ludwig reported that Scholarship Applications need to be submitted by May 31st. Applications and information can be found on our website.
Clippers Game: Dan Mentel couldn’t be at the meeting. TBD
Elections: President Sean Moore reported that since there is no opposition for the Offices all nominated Members will assume their duties on June 1st.
Old Business: None
Motion to Adjourn: A motion to adjourn was made by Seymour Ludwig and seconded by Dana Russell. Motion Carried and the meeting adjourned at 7:55pm.
